Jamie Eastlake
Producing
Jamie has ran Eastlake Productions for the last eight years. In that time he has produced work all across Europe with over fifty different productions.
He started producing work at a young age taking shows to Edinburgh once he turned 18. Before the pandemic he worked as Live Theatre's Associate Producer.
Directing
Jamie started to direct work from an early age and studied Theatre Studies at Rose Bruford College.
His credits include Gerry and Sewell by Jamie Eastlake (Newcastle Theatre Royal, Live Theatre, Laurel’s), The Artful Dodgers by Jamie Eastlake and John Hickman (WIP - National Theatre Studio, 2024), Ghosts of Metroland by Reece Connolly (Live Theatre, 2023) and Antichristmas by Reece Connolly, Laurels, 2022.
Writing
The Mountain Bluebird
Premiered at The Courtyard Theatre, London, Jamie's debut play about the rise of the the far right and social media lads played to critical acclaim and sell out audiences for a month in early 2015.
Monkey’s Blood
A man and his puppet monkey gain stardom on national kids tv but a dark past comes back to haunt him. Written with John Hickman, the play was produced at Vault Festival in 2019 and Laurel’s in 2023.
Gerry & Sewell: A Purely Belter Adventure
An adaptation of Jonathan Tulloch's 'The Season Ticket' about two Newcastle United fans with nothing striving for something. The play launched at Laurels in 2022 with a sell out run and a transfer to Live Theatre in 2023 where another sell out run gained a production at the Newcastle Theatre Royal in 2024.
